Founder and school leader of The Little Thinkers, Ms. Sumita Lamba built the school with one clear belief: childhood should be joyful, safe and full of real thinking. Her vision is to help every child become confident, independent and ready to solve little problems with a big heart.
Ms. Sumita Lamba saw that early childhood often becomes either too academic or too casual. She wanted to create a preschool where children are not rushed, but are also not left unguided.
The Little Thinkers was opened as a warm learning space where children can play, speak, ask, try, make mistakes and discover. The aim is not only to prepare children for big school, but to prepare them for life: with confidence, manners, curiosity and problem-solving habits.
Her approach blends Montessori inspired learning, activity based exploration and Japanese life-skill routines. A child may learn counting through objects, language through stories, discipline through gentle routines and confidence through small daily responsibilities.
For her, real learning begins when a child says, “I can try.” That is why classrooms at The Little Thinkers focus on hands-on work, independence, emotional safety and joyful repetition.
Children learn by touching, sorting, matching, creating and discovering instead of only memorising.
Everyday classroom situations are used to build patience, choices, decision making and practical thinking.
Children are encouraged to speak, participate, help themselves and feel proud of small achievements.
Kindness, respect, sharing, hygiene and responsibility are part of the daily rhythm, not a separate lecture.
